Boarding Policy

Up to date and current vaccines are mandatory for all of our guests:

Dogs: Bordetella(kennel cough), rabies, Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus (DAP)
Cats: Rabies, Rhinotrachetis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia (RCP).

We prefer email proof of vaccination in advance, but we can most definitely accept them upon you and your fur baby’s arrival.

**Check out is by 1pm. An additonal charge will be added for late check outs. (Sundays we do not open until 12pm)


Booking Policy

  • We accept cash, debit, Visa, or Mastercard. We do not accept cheques. Please note that pricing can change at any time. We will need to have a valid credit card on file for the duration of your pet's stay. 

  • All visits require a $100 non-refundable deposit in the event of cancellation. 

  • Payment is required upon the pickup of your pet at the end of their stay. During holiday seasons, you must pay in advance. 

  • To make sure every guest has a safe and enjoyable stay at Companion Inn, please ensure your pet meets our health and safety requirements below:


Health & Safety

  • Puppies and kittens will need to be at least 10 weeks of age and be up to date vaccinations.

  • We will not be accepting unspayed female pets who are in heat.

  • Although we accept all behaviours, breeds, shapes & sizes, we will not accept pets with behavioural aggression towards people unless they are registered for training at Companion Inn.

  • Your pet will need to be in a crate or on a leash any time you are entering or exiting the building.

  • All pets must have proof of current or up-to-date vaccinations submitted before their visit.

  • Your pet must be healthy and free of any contagious illnesses or pests.


Cancellation Policy

Our boarding facility has limited space and is frequently booked at 100% occupancy. This forces us to turn potential boarders away. When clients cancel on short notice, pick up dogs early, or make any changes to their reservation without adequate notice it is often too late for us to fill that spot; which results in a tremendous loss of income. Due to a large number of no-shows and untimely cancellations we have implemented the following cancellation policy.-Cancellation or early pickup must be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance. Anything less than 48 hours will be charged 50% of what your pet’s stay would cost.-Holidays and long weekends: We will require a minimum of one-week cancellation or early pickups. Anything less than one week will be charged in full. No exceptions. Upon booking, we require a $100 non-refundable deposit. Your deposit will be applied to your final bill. Must be secured with a valid credit card upon booking.


We are very sorry that it has become necessary to implement such a strict cancellation policy; However, we cannot continue to encounter loss of revenue due to untimely cancellations, early pickups and reservation changes. This is subject to change.
