FAQs

  • Of course we do! We accept all breeds and all sizes here at the Companion Inn, though ultimately our number one priority is keeping your pet and our staff safe and free from injury. So with that being said, while we are very good at handling difficult dogs, we reserve the right to not accept any dog based on their behaviour.

This would be a dog that may be high risk and possibly pose a threat to our pack. It's critical we keep our staff and all of our guests safe.

If you are feeling uneasy or unsure about your pet’s behaviour, we will be more than happy to set up a time for you to come on down and have a temperament/behaviour check done. Of course, this will be free of cost to you!

  • To provide the best quality of care for your pet, please see below for a list of what you will need to bring for your pet's stay.

    For All Pets

    • Enough food for the duration of your pet's stay plus three extra days

    • The amount of food given to your pet per day

    • Any medications labelled with your pet's name and detailed instructions for use

    For Dogs

    • You must bring a leash and collar for your dog. We will not accept choke chains or harnesses.

    For Cats

    • Please bring your own cat litter.

We do have litter available to buy in-house, but many cats prefer to use the same brand they use at home. Some cats may not use an unfamiliar litter.

    Optional

    • We recommend you bring a few toys from home, so your pet has a familiar scent with them while they stay with us. These toys will stay in their suites for the duration of their visit.

    • If they have a favourite blanket, it must be machine washable. We cannot guarantee any personal belongings will be returned in the same condition.

  • We accept cash, debit, visa, or MasterCard. We do not accept cheques.

  • Please read our full cancellation policy here.
